Pastor's Day Off Change Beginning with the week of August 27th, Pastor's Day Off will move from Monday to Saturday of each week during the school year.
Forest City Office Hours Location Change Until the Beaver Creek Church steeple repair project is completed, Pastor's Office Hours in Forest City will be held at the Frank & Lora Martin residence on Thursdays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. with 11:30-12:30 being a lunch hour. If you need directions or wish to make an appointment to see Pastor during this time, call 641-585-5598.
Bible Study Continues We will continue our "Life of Jesus-The Passion" Bible study series this Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the basement fellowship hall at Beaver Creek. This week's session is entitled "The Savior's Disciples-Loyalty" and we will be looking at portions of Matthew 26-27. Be sure to bring your Bible and a friend as we continue to study the Passion of Our Lord!
Construction Reminder Heritage Park of North Iowa and the Winnebago Historical Society are continuing on with the steeple repair project on the Beaver Creek church. The steeple has been removed from the church and is being restored and reshingled while the support structure above the balcony is also undergoing extensive repairs. The church bell has also been removed during the renovation, so we will not have use of the bell during this time. It is hoped to have the project completed by September. For your own safety, please do not go upstairs into the balcony or enter the construction area outside where the steeple is. Please also be on the lookout for boards, nails, etc. that may be outside in the church yard. If you wish to make a donation to help Heritage Park defray the costs of restoring the steeple, contact Jim Oulman.
Furnace Fund As some of you may be aware, when the original North Prairie congregation closed in 2004, the central air and furnaces were removed from the church and sold, but the ductwork remains intact. We are presently raising funds to purchase and install a heating system in the church for the winter months. If you wish to make a contribution to our furnace fund at North Prairie, please mark your gifts "Furnace Fund" and place them in the offering plate at either North Prairie or Beaver Creek or mail them to the church office in care of the Pastor.
