Construction Update Due to the construction of the railroad tracks around Heritage Park, accesibility the driveway and parking area for the Beaver Creek Church will be temporarily be affected. When you are coming for church events, please continue to use the same entrance (west gate off US Highway 69 next to Unique Boutique), however, please follow all the detour signs that are placed in the park to reach the parking area, and be sure to slow down while driving in the park to avoid hitting or running over anything. Hopefully, the tracks will be installed and parking back to normal in the near future.

Changing Currents Bible Study We will be continuing our "Changing Currents" Bible Study series this Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the Beaver Creek Church. This week's topic is "The Da Vinci Code", as we explore the Bible and the claims made in the book and movie "The Da Vinci Code." You do not need to have read the book or seen the movie in order to participate in this study and get something out of it. Please bring your Bible and a friend to study God's unchanging Word with us each Wednesday!

4th of July Week Schedule Changes With the Independence Day holiday rapidly approaching, we will have the following changes to our congregation's schedule for that week. We will have our regular Sunday morning service on Sunday, July 2nd at 11 a.m. Monday, July 3rd will be Pastor's Day Off as normally scheduled for the summer months. Since the 4th of July is a Federal Holiday, the church office will be closed and Pastor will be off that day. We will be having Bible Study as usual on Wednesday, July 5th at 6:30 p.m. Pastor will then take two vacation days, Friday, July 7th and Saturday, July 8th to visit relatives in western Iowa. Please check our church calendar on the website to stay up to date on our schedule changes.

Radio Ministry Update Due to recent mission opportunites that have opened up in our area, we have had to reassess the way we use our mission support funding we receive each month from the ELCM North American Mission Reserve Fund. As a result, in order to assist with the planting of our 2nd preaching station later this summer, beginning July 1st until further notice, the Radio Ministry over KIOW will no longer be a budgeted item out of the ELCM Mission support funding we receive, and will rely on funding raised locally if it is to remain on the air. A recent congregational poll has indicated that you all wish for this ministry to remain on the air. If you wish to sponsor a broadcast for a particular Sunday, the cost is $48. Please contact Pastor if you are interested in sponsoring a broadcast.

4th of July Week Schedule Please note the following changes regarding the 4th of July schedule at Beaver Creek. On Sunday, July 2nd, we will be having our regular Sunday service at 11 a.m. We will use the special Order of Matins as our liturgy for this service. Pastor's Day Off will be as usual, Monday, July 3rd. Since July 4th, Independence Day, is a federal holiday, that will be a holiday for our Pastor and the church office will be closed. We will, however, be holding Bible study on Wednesday, July 5th at the usual time, 6:30 p.m. If you need to contact Pastor duing the holiday weekend, please call his cell phone and if there is no answer, please leave a message.

"Changing Currents" Continues This Wednesday evening, join us at 6:30 p.m. in the church basement as we continue our "Changing Currents" Bible study series. This week's topic will be "The Bible & Same Sex Marriage". Be sure to bring your Bible and a friend to join us as we discuss and study this controversial topic that faces the church today. Also, if you know of someone who would like to attend Bible study, but would prefer a morning hour during the week, please let Pastor know as he hopes to add a 2nd Bible study time for those who can't make it in the evenings once we have our 2nd preaching station started later this summer.

Pastor out of Town Thursday Pastor will be in Des Moines on Thursday, June 22nd. He will be leaving shortly after noon and return late that night.

Bible Class Begins @ Beaver Creek

Beaver Creek Lutheran Mission, Forest City, Iowa, will begin offering a Bible study on Wednesday evenings, beginning Wednesday, June 7th at 6:30 p.m. The Bible studies will be led by our pastor and held in the basement of the Beaver Creek Church, located on the grounds of Heritage Park in Forest City, Iowa. We will be offering studies based on topics that face the church today. Our schedule for the next three weeks will be:
Wednesday, June 7th: "Changing Currents: Luther, The Movie" A look back at the Scriptures and the popular "Luther" film, released in 2003.
Wednesday, June 14th: "Changing Currents: The Passion of the Christ" A look back at the Scriptures and the popular film "The Passion of the Christ", released in 2004.
Wednesday, June 21st: "Changing Currents: The DaVinci Code" A look at the Scriptures and some of the themes and issues brought up in the popular book and film "The DaVinci Code"

Participants are asked to bring their own Bibles. There is NO COST for materials for these Bible studies.
