Festival of Pentecost Worship with Holy Communion, 11 a.m.
Changing Currents Bible Study Just because the schools in North Iowa have let out for the summer, that doesn't mean you should take a vacation from your Christian Education. We will be offering the "Changing Currents" Bible study series during the month of June here at Beaver Creek. These studies are tenatively set to begin Wednesday, June 7th at 6:30 p.m. in the church basement. The first session will cover "The DaVinchi Code". We will also be studying other topics of interest to the church today throughout the summer. There is NO COST to participate in these studies. Please invite a friend to join us for these study opportunities led by our Pastor.
Pastor's Day Off Change Beginning with the first full week of June, Pastor's Day Off will be changing from Saturday to Monday of each week through the middle of August. If there are any changes to this schedule, they will be placed in the bulletin and on the church calendar.
Holy Communion Registration Change In order to keep better parish records, beginning this morning, we will be kindly requesting that if you intend to participate in the Sacrament of Holy Communion, please read and fill out the Communion card the usher provided for you on your way in this morning, and place the completed card in the offering plate. If you are a guest or visitor with us, please indicate your address and the name of your home church as well.
Financial Update In an effort to help with selecting hymns for our services, Pastor has suggested our congregation order a new 25 CD set from a company called Lutheran Music based out of California. With the addition of this CD set, we will have organ accompaniment for all hymns found in The Lutheran Hymnal and several of the newer hymns found in the Lutheran Book of Worship, the two hymnals we currently use in our worship here at Beaver Creek. The cost of these CD's will be provided by the offerings and mission funding we receive from the ELCM Mission Reserve Fund. If you wish to help defray the cost of these CD's, you are welcome to make a donation. These CD's will be used both here at Beaver Creek and in other preaching stations of our ELCM North Iowa parish that will hopefully be opening in the coming months.
