Sunday Worship Time Change Final Reminder! Beginning next Sunday, March 5th, the starting time for worship services at Beaver Creek will be changing from 11 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. We will go with the 10:30 a.m. start time for the Sundays of Lent and Palm Sunday, and revisit the issue after the Lent season, depending on personal preferences and if another ELCM North Iowa preaching station is established by then. Please inform your family and friends of the time change!

Midweek Worship Returns! Beginning this Wednesday, March 1st, we will resume our Midweek Vespers worship schedule. This Wednesday, we will have our special Ash Wednesday worship service, beginning at 7 p.m. here at Beaver Creek. This service will feature the sacrament of Holy Communion and the traditional Rite of Imposition of Ashes. The following 5 Wednesday evenings, March 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th, and April 5th, we will have a Midweek Lent Vespers worship service beginning at 7 p.m. Our sermon series for these services will be entitled "Two Weeks-The Week of Creation and The Week of the Passion". Invite a friend to join us for these special services this Lenten season!

Next Sunday's KIOW Broadcast will feature portions of the Ash Wednesay service instead of today's service. If you wish to sponsor a broadcast, the cost is $48. Please speak with Pastor if you are interested in sponsoring a broadcast.

1st Wedding Jeremiah & Jamie (Marquard) Bruellman were united in marriage here at Beaver Creek on Saturday, February 18th. Jeremiah & Jamie became the first couple to be married in our new ELCM mission, and it was also the first wedding service Pastor presided over. Congratulations to Jeremiah & Jamie, and we pray for God's richest blessings as they begin their new life together as husband and wife.

Yes, Lutherans Do Change! The month of March will feature two changes here at Beaver Creek. First, during the season of Lent, beginning with Ash Wednesday, most of our hymns will be selected from The Lutheran Hymnal, which those of you with a Missouri Synod background may be familair with. We have 15 copies of TLH on hand to use that had been donated to the former Missouri Synod mission that met at Beaver Creek in 2004, and had remained in storage the past year and a half.

Second, beginning with the First Sunday in Lent, Sunday, March 5th, Sunday worship services here at Beaver Creek will begin at 10:30 a.m. Please note the time change and invite your family and friends to worship with us during the season of Lent!

Midweek Vespers is Back! Our midweek Vespers worship services will resume Wednesday, March 1st with a special Ash Wednesday Worship service, beginning at 7 p.m. This service will feature the sacrament of Holy Communion and the Rite of Imposition of Ashes for those who desire to participate in the rite. The following 5 Wednesday evenings, we will host a Midweek Lent Vespers worship service, beginning at 7 p.m. Invite a friend to come and worship with us for these special services. Pastor's Day Off/Forest City Schedule Please note that due to the Bruellman/Marquard wedding this coming Saturday (February 18th) here at Beaver Creek, Pastor's day off for this week only will be Tuesday, February 14th, and his day in Forest City will shift to Friday.

Worship Time Change Two weeks ago, the congregation, by unanimous consensus, decided to change the starting time for our Sunday morning worship services. Effective Sunday, March 5th, the 1st Sunday in Lent, Sunday Morning Worship Services here at Beaver Creek will begin at 10:30 a.m. Please do note that we may have to make another adjustment to the time during the summer months when Heritage Park events are going on and Pastor will discuss that at a later date after the Lent/Easter season.

Lent/Holy Week Special Service Schedule, 2006 We will be offering special worship services during the Lent/Holy Week season this year. Our Ash Wednesday service is set for Wednesday, March 1st at 7 p.m. and will feature the sacrament of Holy Communion and the Rite of Imposition of Ashes. The following 5 Wednesday evenings, March 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th, and April 5th, we will host a Midweek Lent Vespers worship service, all beginning at 7 p.m. Special services will also be held for Maundy Thursday, April 13th, and Good Friday, April 14th, both beginning at 7 p.m., and a special Vigil of Easter service will be held Saturday, April 15th at 5:30 p.m. All services are currently scheduled to be held here at Beaver Creek. Worship Time Change Last week in a meeting following our regular worship service, the congregation by unanimous consensus decided to change the starting times for our Sunday morning worship services. Effective Sunday, March 5th, 2006 (The First Sunday in Lent), Sunday morning services at Beaver Creek will begin at 10:30 a.m. This time change does not affect our radio broadcast, which will still air at 8 a.m. each Sunday over KIOW, 107.3 FM out of Forest City.

Lent/Holy Week Special Service Schedule, 2006
We will be offering special worship services during the Lent/Holy Week season fo the church year again this year. Beginning Wednesday, March 1st, we will host a Midweek Lent Vespers worship service each Wednesday beginning at 7 p.m. here at the Beaver Creek Church in Forest City. In addition, we will host special services on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Vigil (Saturday evening before Easter) during Holy Week. The sermon series for the midweek services will be announced in the near future.
